Unless you’ve been around for some time, you probably didn’t know that Seattle’s Capitol Hill was once home to a Pontiac Dealership. Wait, what? Yep. If you are trying to think back to where a large, open car lot would have been, you can stop, as Seattle’s Central Pontiac was a fully indoor dealership that sat at 1600 Broadway and had everything from sales and service indoors on two levels. No idea how big the building is or if they had additional lot space somewhere, but it couldn’t have been a very large operation by my estimation. Nowadays, the corner of Broadway and Pine is occupied by an art supply store in what is decidedly a more colorful neighborhood than it used to be.
