MUBI Cinema Podcast

Curated film streaming service MUBI has today announced the launch of its first ever original podcast. The new audio series, simply titled MUBI Podcast, will be a documentary-style look at the world of cinema, with contributions from filmmakers, critics, academics and historians. Published weekly, the first episode is set to premiere on June 3, with five more to follow.

The podcast will be hosted by arts and travel reporter Rich Gagliano of the Wall Street Journal and will follow a different theme each season. The first, titled Lost in Translation, will examine the cultural legacy of lesser-known international films that have “great importance in their home country.” Their unique stories will be brought to life with accompanying audio clips, music and a variety of original interviews… read more >
