Back up girls (BUGs) used to be a ubiquitous part of drag racing. And while there are still plenty of young ladies out there helping guide drivers to their starting line positions, the days of braless girls in short shorts making a show of it are long gone. Of course, some drivers didn’t need BUG to guide them in… they just kicked the door open and looked back, like the legendary Dandy Dick Landy.
