On the outskirts of its namesake Phoenix neighborhood sits a nondescript two-bay garage that’s home to Alhambra Kustoms – a full-service custom car shop and lowrider specialist. They don’t have a sign, a yellow-pages listing, or even a Facebook presence. They’ve been operating by word of mouth and delivering the goods to a select clientele while never taking on more than a couple of projects at a time since 1993. This means that you have to know someone to know them and odds are that you don’t, but now you can get the t-shirt and pretend that you do.
