Demon 340 1971 Vintage Women’s T-Shirt

When Chrysler introduced the Dart in 1960, it wasn’t intended as a premium performance car. In fact, the idea of a muscle car had yet to be pitched and the Dart was simply a new budget model, though it would eventually get several performance and appearance packages like the Swinger and GTS. In 1971, the Dart received yet another package offering by way of the Demon and Demon 340. But the Demon series wasn’t just another Dart trim level. In fact, in 1971, Dodge received a version of the Plymouth Valiant-based Duster to increase interest in their A-body designs, which Dodge used as the new Dart. Plymouth also received a new A-body model, a version of the Dodge Swinger which they rebadged as the Scamp. Available in two levels, the Demon came with either a 198ci slant-six or a 340ci V-8. The larger of the two engines featured a hot cam, hydraulic lifters, and a 10.5:1 compression ratio and although it wasn’t of the big block variety like many competitors were equipping their vehicles with, it certainly gave any competitor a run for its money with the car weighing in at just 3,165lbs. and made the Demon 340 models extremely fun drivers.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. The Next Level 3900 is a fitted women’s t-shirt, so if you are looking for a roomier fit, we suggest going up a size or with the unisex Bella + Canvas 3001 we print our men’s t-shirts on as they are the same super soft ring-spun cotton that feels like an old favorite. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
