Los Angeles 1984 Vintage Men’s Ringer T-Shirt

$29.95

Description

The Soviets, in retaliation for the U.S. boycott of the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, boycotted the 1984 Olympics along with 13 other countries. Despite the boycott, there was still a lighthearted and happy feeling at the 1984 Olympic Games (XXIII Olympiad), which were opened up by then-President Ronald Reagan on July 28, 1984, and ran through August 12, 1984. While other countries sat the games out, 1984 saw China participate for the first time since 1952. After the serious economic problems caused by the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, the 1984 Olympic Games saw, for the first time ever, corporate sponsors for the Games, and rather than build everything from scratch, Los Angeles used many of its existing facilities to hold the 1984 Olympics. Despite being initially criticized for their frugality, it ultimately became a model for future games, one that seemed to fall away again in later decades.

Sizing

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
