During Prohibition, moonshine production skyrocketed. The spirits were made under the light of the moon, in hopes that no one would detect smoke from the stills, a practice that earned the booze its name moonshine. These distilleries used runners who could smuggle moonshine from the stills to customers across the region. On the outside, the runner cars looked stock to avoid attention, but on the inside high-powered engines and heavy-duty suspensions that would give them the edge in outrunning law enforcement. These runners and their souped up cars would eventually be raced and lead to what we all know as modern day stock car racing today. This Moonshine Express design comes from the ’70s, when a moonshine running experienced a resurgence by way of books, TV shows, and movies about outlaw drivers delivering the goods.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
