Description
The Osborne Computer Corporation (OCC) was an American computer company and pioneer in the field of portable computers. Adam Osborne founded the company in 1980, and went to work on developing the world’s first mass-produced portable computer in 1981. Called the Osborne 1, it cost $1,795, which was a lot of money in 1981, but along with a very chunky computer – all 14+ pounds of it – along with a plethora of floppy disks packed with software. It ran the CP/M operating system along with a CBASIC compiler and MSBASIC. At the time, it was seen as a stroke of genius. Sales of the Osborne 1 began slowly, but by the end of 1981, the company was shipping 2,000 units a month – an astonishing figure at that time. According to proponents of the Osborne effect theory, Adam Osborne damaged his company’s current sales when he began showing the new Osborne Executive model to journalists in early 1983. Dealers rapidly started cancelling orders for the Osborne 1 in anticipation of the new Executive. Unsold inventory piled up and in spite of dramatic price cuts – the Osborne 1 was selling for $1295 in July 1983 and $995 by August – sales did not recover. Losses, already higher than expected, continued to mount, and OCC declared bankruptcy on September 13, 1983.

Sizing
Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
