$29.95

PRX Racing Oil was one of many Penn Drake branded petroleum products produced by the Pennsylvania Refining Company from the mid-’40s through the late ’60s. Penn Drake takes its name from the Drake Well in Pennsylvania, a 69′-foot-deep oil well in Cherrytree Township, Venango County, the success of which sparked the first oil boom in the United States. Drilled by Edwin Drake in 1859 along the banks of Oil Creek, it is the first commercial oil well in the United States and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966. The well is the centerpiece of the Drake Well Museum located 3 miles south of Titusville.
