Re-bar Seattle 1990 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt

Without question, Re-bar was one of the Seattle’s most historic nightclubs, hosting countless local and touring bands over its three decade run. Born during the height of the grunge scene in 1990, the single-story building it called home at the foot of Capitol Hill was built in 1930, and certainly playing into the venue’s quirky charm. In addition to being the venue Nirvana picked for their Nevermind release party—wherein the band got kicked out of their own show after sneaking a handle of whiskey and then starting a cake fight, this anchor of the alternative arts scene presented work from local artists, theatre and comedy performances, and held rocking dance nights. Re-bar was routinely filled to the brim with hipsters, freaks, geeks, artists, gays, intellectuals, punks, rockers, ravers, and clubbers – a true showcase of the eclectic diversity Seattle has always been known for. The fact that they made some mean cocktails was just the icing on the cake.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
