On November 5, 1975, while working for Rogers Forestry in Snowflake, Arizona, logger Travis Walton and his co-workers – Mike Rogers, Allan Dallis, David Whitlock, Greg Hayes, and Bobby Cogdill – headed to work in the White Mountains on a Forest Service fire management contract. Heading back out of the mountains that night, the loggers come across an unidentified flying object in a clearing. Curious to learn more, Walton gets out of the truck and is struck by a bright beam of light from the object and is sent flying several feet backward as if pushed by an unseen force. Fearing Walton has been killed, the others flee the scene as Walton was nowhere to be found. Making their way back to town to report the incident, the loggers are met with skepticism, as they relate what sounds like a tall tale to the local Sheriff. This is the basic synopsis of the 1993 film, Fire in the Sky, based on Travis Walton’s book, The Walton Experience, and this design is just a small reference to the event that is perfect for anyone who loves the obscure and esoteric.
