Super Stars are items used in many Mario games, including the original Super Mario series and the Mario Kart series. If the player gets a Star, they will become invincible. The user becomes temporarily invulnerable to all damage, being able to defeat anything, though hazards that would normally be fatal regardless of power-ups (lava, pits, time-over, getting crushed, etc) still are. The Star also increases the speed of the user substantially (again, depending on the game). This design includes a classic 8-bit representation of the Super Star along with “Let’s kick ass!” set in traditional Japanese Kanji.
