In 1938, the Swedish government founded Svenska Aeroplan Aktie Bolag (SAAB) for the purpose of the manufacturing of bomber and fighter aircraft for the Royal Swedish Air Force. They grew to be a very successful production company during the war, and post-war, the company began manufacturing civilian aircraft as well. Still looking for new products to start manufacturing, Saab decided to jump feet first into making automobiles. Saab assigned 16 designers, engineers, and craftspeople to work on the first Saab automobile, though they weren’t exactly a crew of automobile experts – not one of them had ever designed a car before, and only one even had a driver’s license. Needless to say, not everything they did was a hit, but eventually they got it right, leading to a long run of highly recognizable cars with an almost cult-like following of fans and enthusiasts. This design is based on the 1965 logo design employed by Saab which still played off their aerospace history.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
