The Saddle Rack originally opened on August 13, 1976 as San Jose’s only authentic country roadhouse. The Rack, as locals called it, quickly became known for country music, strong drinks, line-dancing, and Tex-Mex cuisine, which turned out to be a winning combination. This quirky joint’s Southern-style hospitality was what kept locals coming back, but once they began booking live music, it became a premier country music nightspot that pulled people in from all over the Bay Area and beyond. Sitting on six and a half prime acres, the owner received an offer he couldn’t refuse, and sold the property, leading to its closure in 2001. The Rack would return in 2003, reopening in an 18,000-square-foot former hot tub store in Fremont, where it served the country-western community for nearly two more decades before closing in 2020.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
