The Electric Chair Awakens

The Electric Chair is a wild ’39 Indian 4-based chopper built by Mike Fitzgerald back in 1968. After getting lots of love at shows and in magazines, the custom chopper changed hands a few times and then went MIA for about 50 years before being unearthed this week in what one might consider an ultimate barn find. The full story is said to be forthcoming, but at least we got some current snaps of this beast which shows that it’s not only still a beautiful bike, but was clearly quite thoughtfully stored during its half-century slumber as it looks like you could fire it right up and hit the road. Just more proof that they’re out there, just waiting to be found…

Color pics are the new shots and the black and white stuff are from old magazines.
