Bonjour Jeans

While today, Bonjour Jeans are but a footnote in the annals of ’80s fashion, they’re truly a case study in the American dream. Founded in 1972 by a Syrian immigrant who just a few years earlier emigrated to the United States with pennies to his name, Bonjour was the first to import low-cut French-style jeans into the United States. A decade later, Bonjour had $150 million in annual sales and was at the height of fashion as they led the way with the heavy acid wash trend supported by high style ad campaigns with hot models bending over to show just how flexible their denim was. Bonjour, my friends!
