Evil Dead

In 1981 five friends traveled to a cabin in the woods, where they unknowingly released flesh-possessing demons. The story, know known as “Evil Dead,” became one of the best cult classic films and launched Bruce Campbell and director Sam Raimi’s careers. The low-budget horror flick was screened at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival, with Stephen King even praising the film. Once it was distributed by New Line Cinema it went on to earn $2.4 million worldwide. The project was shot on location in a remote cabin in Newport, Tennessee. It was reported that the filming process was extremely uncomfortable, with many cast and crew members sustaining injuries.
