In 1967 a train loaded with brand new Pontiac GTOs and Le Mans derailed just outside of downtown Linden, Michigan. All was not lost, however, as quite a few of these timeless rides escaped the crusher, either to be rebuilt in whole, or in the case of the more heavily damaged example, stripped of their potent powertrains and accessories for use in other vehicles 🥹
