Frontier Fidelity Savings

The Las Vegas-based institution’s second branch opened June 1, 1962 at 801 E Charleston in Las Vegas. The architects were the firm of Hagman & Meyer; interior design by C. Tony Pereira; contractor was P&C Construction Co. The interior featured a 26-by-11-foot mural created by Kramer and Stone Design depicting the early history of Southern Nevada.

Los Angeles-based Hagman & Meyer also designed the 1962 expansion of First Western Savings & Loan at 118 Las Vegas Boulevard – now demolished.

Frontier Savings failed in Dec. ‘90 and was taken over by Bank of America. The building later became a US Bank branch, closed in 2019. It has been owned by its neighbor Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada since 2020. H/T>
