Design Description
Released by Namco in 1979, Galaxian was one of the first arcade games to move beyond the rigid formations of Space Invaders, introducing colorful graphics, dynamic enemy behavior, and fast-paced aerial attacks. Players pilot the lone starfighter Galaxip, defending Earth from relentless waves of invading Galaxian aliens. While the enemies begin each stage in neat formations at the top of the screen, they soon break ranks, diving toward the player while firing projectiles in an attempt to destroy the Galaxip. The game's strategic depth came from its flagship enemies, known as the Galaxian Flagship or Galboss, which would launch coordinated attacks alongside two red escort ships. Destroying the entire formation during a dive earned valuable bonus points, rewarding skilled timing and accuracy. Because of the arcade hardware's limitations, the Galaxip could have only one shot on screen at a time, forcing players to carefully time every blast. As the stages progressed, enemy speed and aggression steadily increased, creating an ever-greater challenge. Rounds were marked by small flags at the bottom of the screen, while the game's memorable attract mode beckoned players with the simple but iconic message: "WE ARE THE GALAXIANS. MISSION: DESTROY ALIENS." Blending vibrant color, fluid animation, and innovative gameplay, Galaxian became one of the defining arcade hits of the golden age of video games.

The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
