Design Description
Felix the Cat is a cartoon character created in 1919 by Otto Messmer and Pat Sullivan during the silent film era. An anthropomorphic young black cat with white eyes, a black body, and a giant grin, he is often considered one of the most recognized cartoon characters in history. Felix was the first fully realized recurring animal character in the history of American film animation. Felix became well known in popular culture, as aside from numerous animated shorts, Felix starred in a comic strip beginning in 1923, and his image soon adorned merchandise such as ceramics, toys, and postcards. Several manufacturers made stuffed Felix toys, and Jazz bands such as Paul Whiteman's played songs about him (1923's "Felix Kept On Walking" and others). By the late 1920s, with the arrival of sound cartoons, Felix's success was fading. The new Disney shorts of Mickey Mouse made the silent offerings of Sullivan and Messmer, who were then unwilling to move to sound production, seem outdated. In 1929, Sullivan decided to make the transition and began distributing Felix sound cartoons through Copley Pictures. The sound Felix shorts proved to be a failure and the operation ended in 1932 until a brief three-cartoon resurrection in 1936 by the Van Beuren Studios also failed to launch. One of Felix' most adoring qualities was his ability to brush off adversity and just keep doing his thing, and our original Felix The Cat Just Keep Walking design shows him doing just that - whistling a tune while minding his own damn business.

Like all our designs, this one is treated with our signature ‘relic-ing’ process which includes our own secret recipe of hand-painted chipping, cracking, fading, and just the right touch of yellowing to ensure that it looks the part of a true vintage imprint.** We lay these works of art down on premium Gildan 5000B tees, one of the best-wearing kid's t-shirts available today, via state of the art direct to garment (DTG) printing which allows us to create a vintage effect that simply can’t be accomplished with other printing methods. In short, this youth pro weight tee is perfect for every kid who wants a comfortable shirt to play, relax, or romp around in and our durable, high-quality prints will survive many adventures.Size Chart
Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our hoodies are made using premium, preshrunk cotton/poly blends, there can be some slight shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you're on the fence or just want to be able to layer over various shirts, we always suggest going up a size as hoodies are meant to be a little on the big side 😎
