Released in 1979, The Jerk remains one of the great comedy classics, following the endlessly optimistic Navin Johnson as he leaves home in search of his "special purpose." Along the way, his innocence and gullibility make him an easy target for hustlers, opportunists, and just about anyone looking to take advantage of him. After a simple invention unexpectedly makes him wealthy, the requests for money begin pouring in from every direction. One of the film's most unforgettable gags arrives when Father Carlos Las Vegas De Cordova visits Navin's office seeking help for a noble cause. The priest solemnly explains that a terrible ugliness is spreading through his homeland and screens a film to demonstrate the crisis. What initially looks like a cockfighting ring inside a Mexican cantina soon reveals a far more absurd spectacle as a man enters carrying a basket of kittens. The horrifying revelation? Cat juggling. Navin watches in disbelief before erupting, "Good Lord! I've heard about this—cat juggling! Stop! Stop! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!" After the footage ends, he asks, "Father, could there be a God that would let this happen?" Naturally, Navin immediately writes a check to help end the scourge of cat juggling. Thankfully, no real cats were harmed or juggled in the making of the scene, but the sequence became one of the film's most memorable moments—no small achievement in a movie overflowing with unforgettable ones.

The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
