The Batcave was London's most influential gothic nightclub, opening in 1982 in the basement of the Gargoyle Club on Dean Street in Soho. Created by members of the band Specimen, the club quickly became the epicenter of Britain's emerging goth scene, blending post-punk, glam rock, industrial music, horror films, and theatrical fashion into a singular underground experience. With its fog-filled dance floor, elaborate costumes, teased hair, leather, lace, and heavy makeup, the Batcave attracted a devoted crowd of musicians, artists, and outsiders while helping launch the careers of bands such as Alien Sex Fiend and shaping the image of groups like The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Though its original run was relatively brief, the Batcave's influence on goth music, fashion, and alternative culture remains profound, cementing its status as one of the most legendary nightclubs of the 1980s.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
