In 1999's Lake Placid, Maine Fish & Game's Aroostook County Sector, Black Lake Division was responsible for taking down the biggest saltwater crocodile on record. Somewhat ironically, the movie's title isn't even the name of the lake featured in the film. Rather, it is set on a fictional lake in Maine called 'Black Lake.' The title refers to one of the early scenes where the sheriff says, "They wanted to call it Lake Placid, but that name was taken," a possible nod to the real Lake Placid in the Adirondacks. This design includes an artistic interpretation of the crest logo along with regional identifiers of the fictional Black Lake where the movie was seen, so whether you're looking for a cheap as hell cosplay or just a nice camping shirt, this one may just fit the bill! Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size. All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
