Design Description

Super President was a short-lived animated series that aired between September 16, 1967 and December 28, 1968 that blended superhero action with political fantasy at the height of the Cold War. The show followed James Norcross, the first U.S. president secretly endowed with superpowers through a top-secret government project, allowing him to defend the nation - and the world - from high-tech villains and global threats. Super President used abilities like super strength, flight, and advanced weaponry hidden in everyday objects, including his briefcase and cane to confront evil wherever it presented itself. The series reflected 1960s anxieties about espionage and technological warfare, packaging them in a stylized, kid-friendly format that was packed with action and patriotism, making it a curious relic of its era. The Encyclopedia of American Animated Television Shows says that the show is "perhaps the worst animated program in the late 1960s (its producers admitted it themselves)" and calls the superhero president "arguably the most implausible superhero narrative idea ever invented." Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size. All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
