Design Description
Brave Raideen is a Japanese super robot anime series that aired from April 4, 1975, to March 26, 1976, spanning 50 episodes. Officially titled Raideen the Brave, the series is also widely known as Brave Raideen or Heroic Rydeen. The story begins when the ancient Demon Empire awakens and sets its sights on conquering Earth. Sensing the threat, Raideen—a giant, sentient guardian of the lost civilization of Mu—awakens from within a mysterious golden pyramid. Young Akira Hibiki is summoned by an unknown voice and soon discovers that he is a descendant of the people of Mu, destined to join with Raideen in the battle against the Demon Empire. Brave Raideen became an important milestone in the evolution of the super robot genre. Unlike the technologically created machines common to earlier anime, Raideen was rooted in ancient mythology and mysticism, giving the series a distinctive supernatural flavor. The robot was also notable for its ability to transform into the birdlike God Bird form, making Raideen an early example of the transforming giant robot concept. Its influence extended into the toy industry as well: the die-cast Raideen released in Japan in 1975 is often credited as the first fully transforming robot toy, helping pave the way for the transforming robot craze that followed.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
