Herbert Arnold Ligon began his trucking career in 1935 at age 17 when he took a job hauling freight out of his hometown of Madisonville, Kentucky. Always thinking bigger, the industrious young Ligon bought his first truck at 18, founding his company, Ligon Specialized Hauler, Inc. By 1946, his fleet had grown to 26 trucks, and true to their name, Ligon specialized in hauling stuff that didn't fit in standard van trailers. From flatbeds and lowboys to pole trailers and heavy haul rigs, Ligon Specialized Hauler had the equipment to move the load at hand. The company hauled the massive White House Christmas trees for many years and even moved rocket components for the space program. Ligon was sold in 1982, at which time it was the 17th largest hauler of truckload freight in the United States. The company was later acquired and became one of the core companies that formed Landstar System.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
