“From Africa’s deepest recesses to the rarefied peaks of Tibet, heir to his father’s legacy and the world’s darkest mysteries…” So began the wonderfully over-the-top introduction to Manimal, the short-lived 1983 action-adventure series created by television hitmaker Glen A. Larson. While Larson was an unstoppable force of '80s television, it turns out that a show based on a man who could turn into a panther to solve crimes didn't resonate with audiences, so Manimal lasted just eight episodes before disappearing from the schedule. The series followed Jonathan Chase, a wealthy professor with the mysterious ability to transform himself into various animals—a talent he naturally put to use fighting crime. Frequently cited among television’s more infamous misfires, Manimal nevertheless developed a devoted cult following over the years, thanks largely to its bizarre concept, elaborate transformation sequences, and unmistakable early-’80s charm. Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size. All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
