Man-Thing made his first appearance in Savage Tales #1 in 1971. Once a brilliant biochemist, Dr. Theodore Sallis, he was working deep in the Florida Everglades on Project Gladiator, an effort to recreate the Super Soldier Serum. While fleeing those seeking to steal his research, Sallis injected himself with the experimental formula before crashing into the swamp. The serum, combined with the swamp's mysterious mutagenic properties and mystical forces, transformed him into the shambling creature known as the Man-Thing. Though stripped of most of his human intelligence and unable to speak, the Man-Thing retained a powerful empathic connection to the emotions of those around him. Wandering the Everglades near a Seminole reservation and the fictional town of Citrusville, he became the silent guardian of the Nexus of All Realities, a mystical gateway connecting countless dimensions. Despite his monstrous appearance and limited awareness, Man-Thing frequently emerged as an unlikely hero, intervening in supernatural horrors, criminal schemes, and other threats. Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size. All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
