Back in the ’50s, hot rodders began painting their car club plaques on the side of an exposed rock slab in Sherman Oaks. The location is on Sepulveda near where it goes under Mulholland in West San Fernando Valley, and while I’m sure that they are either faded away from time or any remnants of them have been removed in more recent times, but if you’re in the area, it would still be worth seeing the spot for the sake of hot rod history.
