In 1969, accomplished off-road racer and a self-taught mechanical innovator, Drino Miller, partnered with Stanford Havens to open up a shop to build and tune off-road race cars. Calling their operation Miller-Havens Enterprises, they specialized in creating race winning buggies that proved their stuff at both the Mint 400 and Baja 500 where they bested high dollar race teams with their low budget custom single seat buggies. Miller-Havens didn’t just stop at dedicated race cars, but created one of the most accessible ways into off-road racing – the Baja Bug. Based on the readily available Type I platform, these economical vehicles were perfect for riding trails and racing off-road. By replacing the heavy steel fenders and hood with lightweight fiberglass, lifting the suspension, and adding off-road tires, he created a machine that the average Joe could not only afford, but build himself at home. By the mid 1970s, Havens had pulled out of the business and Miller changed the name to Drino Miller Enterprises. He continued to build off-road vehicles and expanded into midgets and road race cars. He would demonstrate that he had great skills on the tarmac as well, successfully running teams at both the Indianapolis 500 and at Les Mans.

Sizing

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.

*Heather colors are 52% combed and ring-spun cotton/48% polyester. Athletic and Black Heather is 90% combed and ring-spun cotton/10% polyester. Ash color is 99% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton and 1% poly. **Due to the nature of the printing process and different sizes of shirts offered, imprint position and scale may vary slightly from the product images, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible.
