Design Description
Ernst Home Centers was a home improvement retail chain founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1893 by brothers Charles and Fred Ernst. The company became part of Pacific Northwest retail powerhouse Pay ’n Save in 1960, but following a takeover of its parent company in 1984, Ernst was eventually spun off and went public a decade later. A combination of costly lawsuits, increased competition, and an unsuccessful push into larger-format stores sent the company into Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1996, followed by liquidation in 1997. At its peak, Ernst operated 95 stores across 12 western states. This design resurrects the chain’s classic ’70s-era logo, used until a 1980 rebranding replaced it with something considerably less cool.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
