Design Description
In 1976, a relatively unknown peanut farmer and former Georgia governor named Jimmy Carter came out of nowhere to win the American presidency. Following the Watergate scandal and Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974, public trust in Washington had reached a low point, and Carter positioned himself as an honest, down-to-earth political outsider who promised to restore integrity to the White House. Running on a platform of government reform, transparency, and human rights, Carter used his Southern roots, folksy charm, and famous toothy grin to connect with voters tired of political scandal. His campaign slogan, "A Leader, For a Change," captured the mood of an electorate looking for something different. With Minnesota Senator Walter Mondale as his running mate, Carter faced incumbent Republican President Gerald Ford in a surprisingly close general election. On November 2, 1976, Carter emerged victorious, winning 50.1% of the popular vote and 297 electoral votes to Ford's 240, becoming the first president elected from the Deep South since Zachary Taylor in 1848. Carter was inaugurated as the 39th president of the United States on January 20, 1977, bringing an end to eight years of Republican control of the White House.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if youโre on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
