1984 World’s Fair New Orleans Vintage Kid’s T-Shirt

The 1984 Louisiana World Exposition was a World’s Fair held in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States. It was held 100 years after the city’s earlier World’s Fair, the World Cotton Centennial in 1884. Operating under the theme “World of Rivers,” and divided into six themed “neighborhoods” spread out over 84 (of course) acres, the fair among other things gave visitors a chance to view Vatican treasures, to check out an actual space shuttle, to ride what at the time was billed as North America’s biggest Ferris wheel, and sample the cultural of 23 countries. The 1984 World’s Fair opened on Saturday, May 12, 1984, and ended on Sunday, November 11, 1984.

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
