While Idaho may be known as The Potato State, The Centennial State actually produces their fair share of spuds as well. Bison Brand Potatoes from Greeley, Colorado is one such example and from what we can tell, they were produced from 1941 until 1978. Made of burlap and capable of holding upwards of 150 pounds, potato sacks were a cost-effective way for farmers to get their crop to market in style, making potato sacks an unsung hero of the produce industry. The artwork that adorned them has always been a great study in branding simplicity, and this 1941 Bison Brand example from Greeley, Colorado is no exception. Instead of being made of itchy burlap, our weekender potato sack totes are made of modern 100% spun polyester, which allows us to print the authentic burlap sack art in stunning detail for a vintage style bag that looks good anywhere. Our oversized Weekender Tote is perfect for a day at the beach or a last-minute trip out of town. This 24″ wide-mouthed tote bag holds a generous amount of personal items and is easily held by its thick rope handles, and it’s 100% spun polyester construction makes it both light and durable. Like all our designs, this one is treated with our signature ‘relic-ing’ process which includes our own secret recipe of hand-painted chipping, cracking, fading, and just the right touch of yellowing to ensure that it looks the part of a true vintage imprint.** We lay these works of art down on our own exclusive tote bags which are cut and sewn after printing via state of the art direct to garment (DTG) printing which allows us to create a vintage effect that simply can’t be accomplished with other printing methods.
