BraveStarr is a space western cartoon series by Filmation that aired from September 1987 to February 1988, and unlike the typical path of toys being developed from a show, the series was actually developed a year after a collection of action figures released in 1986. BraveStarr was the last animated series produced and broadcast before Filmation shut down in 1989. The series was set in the 23rd century on a multicultural desert planet called New Texas, and episodes combined elements of science fiction and western genres. Marshal BraveStarr is the title character and Galactic Marshal of New Texas; a Native American who can call upon the power of “spirit animals”, enabling him briefly to perform superhuman feats. The Eyes of the Hawk enhances his vision and can also grant him an aerial view of the adjacent area. The Ears of the Wolf gives him super-human hearing. The Strength of the Bear gives him super-human strength. The Speed of the Puma gives him super-human speed. As on other Filmation series, a moral lesson is told at the end of each episode. One notable episode is “The Price,” in which a boy buys a drug called “Spin,” becomes addicted to it, and dies of an overdose… guess he learned a valuable lesson that day 🤷♂️

Sizing
Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.

*Heather colors are 52% combed and ring-spun cotton/48% polyester. Athletic and Black Heather is 90% combed and ring-spun cotton/10% polyester. Ash color is 99% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton and 1% poly. **Due to the nature of the printing process and different sizes of shirts offered, imprint position and scale may vary slightly from the product images, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible.
