Description
Carl J. Subler of Versailles, Ohio purchased his first truck in 1933 at the age of 18 and began hauling grain to Southeast Ohio and back hauling coal to Darke County. Carl would soon begin adding more trucks and hiring drivers to run them, and before he knew it, he was running a trucking company. Carl Subler Trucking wasn’t formally incorporated until 1954, but would grow into the 10th largest truckload carrier in the U.S.A., operating in all lower 48 states with over 600 trucks. He pioneered firsts in many areas including intermodal, transporting fresh orange juice from Florida in refrigerated tankers and the first truckloads of blueberries and sardines from Maine. Safety was first and foremost for Subler as he mandated speed recording devices in all power units, the first carrier to do so. At the same time, he built a fresh fruit business in Versailles that was one of the largest in Western Ohio, selling retail and wholesale to customers in Ohio and Indiana. Carl Subler Trucking, Inc. ran well into the ’80s until they were purchased by A-P-A Transport Corp. in 1986. A-P-A slowly rebranded the Subler fleet and they themselves closed down in 2002.

Sizing
Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
