Jules Maes Saloon 1888 Vintage Women’s T-Shirt

$29.95

Jules Maes Saloon dates back to the early days of Seattle in 1888 when it originally opened its doors along what is now Airport Way. Customers consisted of mostly lumberjacks and fishermen as Georgetown was the city’s industrial district with no shortage of working men wanting a stiff drink. The bar closed in 1920 when prohibition came around, but reopened several doors down in 1939 in the building affectionately known by locals as the “Brick Store” which had previously been home to the Georgetown Grocery Company.
