Lakewood Center Skateboard World 1978 Vintage Kid’s T-Shirt

$27.95

Lakewood Center Skateboard World opened in 1978 at Lakewood Center shopping mall and may be one of the most ’80s skateparks ever as it brought skate and mall culture together in Lakewood, California. The park featured a snake run, banked slalom run, banked freestyle area, half-pipe, twin keyhole pools with tile and coping, a banked three-leaf clover pool, and the 17-foot deep “monster bowl” pool with tile & coping. The entrance to the monster bowl consisted of a very rideable/fun “mini-bowl” that could be ridden independently of the monster bowl. The monster bowl was eventually destroyed to make way for a roller hockey rink not long before the park closed in 1982.
