Description
In 1906, 23-year-old Ed Austin started a business hauling goods from the railroad station to local businesses with a horse-drawn wagon in Lynden, Washington. Calling his new business Lynden Transfer, Austin hauled everything from furniture and produce to animal feed and machinery. He added a second wagon team running between Lynden and Bellingham. In 1921, Austin added a two-and-a-half-ton truck to haul eggs and milk into Seattle, with a second truck added shortly thereafter. By 1947, Lynden was running two tractor-trailer rigs and two straight trucks full time, but Austin was looking to retire and sold Lynden Transfer. The new owners wanted to expand further north… to Fairbanks, Alaska. Despite being told that semi trucks navigating the rugged Alaska-Canada (Alcan) Highway was impossible, Lynden proved everyone wrong by delivering a load of fresh meat in 1953. Being faster than ocean and cheaper than air quickly made Lynden a household name in Alaska, and in 1954 the company began running regular routes between Seattle and multiple cities in Alaska.

Sizing
Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
