Description
Is there anything more ubiquitous than the repeating thank you plastic bag used be countless retailers for decades? Tracking down the source of these led us to the Chinatown districts of several major US cities, though while some accounts have them showing up earlier in the decade, the only authenticated example we could find is from 1979, so that is what we’re going with. These bags appeared in numerous designs, though most often in shades of red, as the color signifies luck in Chinese culture. These thank-you bags showed appreciation for a purchase, but also served as a kind of good-luck charm for the customer. As single use plastic bags are increasingly being phased out, our grunge-y version may just be the reusable option you’ve been looking for.
Details
Like all our designs, this one is treated with our signature ‘relic-ing’ process which includes our own secret recipe of hand-painted chipping, cracking, fading, and just the right touch of yellowing to ensure that it looks the part of a true vintage imprint.** We lay these works of art down on our premium cut and sew tote bags via state of the art direct to garment (DTG) printing which allows us to create a vintage effect that simply can’t be accomplished with other printing methods. This practical, high quality tote bag is available in three sizes, so it’s easy to find the perfect one for just about any need whether it’s on the beach, on the town, or just another day in the office.
