Description
Phantom Lady first appeared in August 1941 in Quality's Police Comics #1, an anthology title that established her alter ego as Sandra Knight, the daughter of U.S. Senator Henry Knight. She used a 'black light projector,' a device that allowed her to blind her enemies and make herself invisible, and was sometimes assisted by her fiancé, Donald Borden, an agent of the State Department, in fighting crime. Phantom Lady is a notable example of 'good girl art,' a style of comic art depicting voluptuous female characters in provocative situations and pin-up poses that contributed to widespread criticism of the medium's effect on youth. Her skimpy costume was eventually explained as a deliberate tactic to distract her usually male foes. This design is based on the surreal cover from the FFS published issue #18 that came out in June 1948.

Sizing
Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you're on the fence, we always suggest going up a size.
