Design Description

Rickety Rocket is an animated television series produced by Ruby-Spears Productions, which ran from 1979 to 1980 as a segment on The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show. The series is considered progressive for the time, as it was one of the first cartoon shows with all African American lead characters. The show takes place sometime in the 25th century and focuses on teenagers Cosmo, Venus, Splashdown and Sunstroke, founders of the Far-Out Detective Agency. One day, they were in their headquarters trying to build something useful out of a pile of junk they presumably gathered from a junkyard and ended up building a makeshift sentient talking space car. Naming him Rickety Rocket, he quickly becomes a member of the team, and helped them solve mysteries that usually has them fighting suspects operating as master criminals or disguised as monsters. The rocket's signature catchphrase was "Rickety Rocket, blast off!" which could be heard across all sixteen episodes. Product Details

Not sure what size is your best fit? We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size. All sizes are provided in inches!
